Step by Step
First, we’ll finalize your contract and review our Design Build Process so you’ll know what to expect. We’ll also give you our Planning Questionnaire to start learning more about your needs, wants and personal style.
You’ll meet with Loren Homes principals Andrew and Lauren to review your floorplans and specifications and discuss any changes you’d like to make. We’ll mark up your plans together to be priced by our team.
Once we have detailed pricing for all of your desired personalizations, we’ll meet together to review the revised plan drawings and go over pricing together. Then we’ll get a head start on design by asking you to complete our Design Questionnaire to tell us more about the fit and finish you want for your new home.
Now the real fun begins as you meet with Lauren to walk through all the design selections for your new home from paint and tile to cabinetry and coutertops and everything in between. We’ll follow up over the next few weeks with specialty vendor meetings as needed to get every detail just right.
Once we have all of your desired options and selections, we’ll lay it all out into a finish schedule for your new home and review it together to make sure every detail has been attended.
When framing is complete, you’ll meet Andrew and your project superintendent onsite to walk your new home together. This is the time to identify any electrical changes or upgrades you’d like to make, so make sure to think through the function of each room and where you’d like lighting, outlets, cable or other circuit needs.
When drywall has been completed, you’ll walk your new home again with your project superintendent and review all your selected design choices to make sure we get all the details just right.
Once electrical in your new home is complete, you’ll meet directly with your lighting vendor to select all your lighting fixtures. Ask Lauren for your selected lighting vendor and start your wish list now.
As the completion of your home draws near, you’ll meet with Andrew and our landscaper to review and provide feedback on your home’s landscaping plan and make any additions you might like.
Construction is complete and closing time is near! A week before your closing, you’ll meet with Andrew and your project superintendent to walk through your completed home together and discuss any questions you may have.
Closing on Your Home
After one final walk with Andrew and your project superintendent, congratulations are in order! Once closing is complete, it’s moving day!
